The Audemars Piguet (AP) Royal Oak was my first grail watch, and the very timepiece that sparked my interest in horology. I first saw one in the flesh in 2013 on the wrist of a friend. It was not the 15202 but one of the models with a smaller diameter – perhaps the 36mm 14790.
